I signed a contract (through SellDirect) with TELKOM for a mobile phone for which I gave them tight to a debit order from my bank account. TELKOM activated my phone on 2 November 2017. Today is 6 April 2018 and I still don’t have access to the phone. The only message I get from them whenever I want to use the phone is - CELLULAR NETWORK NOT AVAILABLE. Then today I phone the number of my TELKOM Cell phone and somebody else picked up his phone on my number!!! That was when I called TELKOM on 081 180. After 1 hour and 7 minutes, I was answered by a lady from TELKOM and I stated my problem to her. She found out and returned to me to tell me I have to go to a TELKOM shop and do a sim-swop. I asked her what about the 5 month’s payments that they took from my bank account? Are they willing to give me the credit for that? She found out – NO, THEY ARE NOT!
What about the experience did you like/dislike the most?
I asked her if she thinks that anybody is willing to lift up the dustbin’s lid, drop the money in the dustbin and then replace the lid? Because that is what TELKOM expects from me. Sorry, that is not how I work with my money.
